On behalf of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the KOGS Programme Committee, we are delighted to announce the third edition of Kuwait Oil & Gas Show and Conference (KOGS) that will take place in the State of Kuwait (15 – 18 October 2017).

The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait. The event is chaired by Mr. Nizar Al-Adsani, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). The Chairman of the Executive Committee is Mr. Jamal Jafaar, Chief Executive Office of Kuwait Oil Company.

From its inception, this event was crafted to be the flagship event of Kuwait for the oil and gas sector, and I am proud to say that its evolution proved the concept, as KOGS has consistently concentrated a large-scale international gathering of exhibitors and a broad-spectrum of technical presentations. This new edition of KOGS aims to continue in this growth path, and with the theme “Shaping the Energy Future: Integration and Diversification”, the Programme Committee put in place an intensive and rich programme, to stimulate the international and regional petroleum sector. The focus will be on technology, engineering and the opportunities to face the complex challenges of the current oil exploration, production, processing, transport and marketing in new oil price scenario, where advance techniques, non-conventional strategies and optimized processes are very needed.

I welcome all of you to this great event, and outstanding platform to advance the oil and gas industry of Kuwait, for technical and non-technical functions, as well as for the supply and marketing chains, in the public and private sectors, in the upstream and downstream segments. I count on your participation! Make it valuable for your good self as for others, with your active engagement in the many activities KOGS has to offer.
